As a child he discovered a grey-haired man selling vintage watches on the bustling streets of the Portobello markets. Picking up two watches he was gripped by their beauty and timeless appeal. He was unable to take his eyes off them, and a lifelong passion had been kindled.

Josef began studying watch history and mechanics. He immersed himself in the world of horology and the more he studied, the more mesmerised he became. He learned how watch styles evolved through the passage of time. Imbued with this knowledge, he dove head-first into the world of vintage watches - every timepiece acquired fortifying his desire for collecting and understanding.

With his new-found expertise on watch design and engineering, Josef grasped the opportunity to leave his mark on the watch-making world. Rather than simply recreating vintage designs, he wanted to elevate them.
